With the ignominious end of Canyon Diablo's boss, Tom Clebber, killed by a shot from one of his henchmen, the gang that gripped the dusty town breaks up and the interrupted railway can resume its journey. Some time later, having met an old acquaintance, the elderly sheriff Tom Kenyon, in Springerville, Tex offers to support him in capturing a young bandit, the blonde Andy Wilson. The outlaw, who is hiding among the cowboys of the Double B Ranch, escapes after seriously wounding the tin star! Tex finds him and confronts him on the Skeleton Trail, in the Las Piedras desert.
